Eagles (Over 50’s)

Fostering meaningful relationships through fellowship and service

The Forest Brook church family is richly blessed with many adults 50+. The Eagles ministry provides nurture, avenues of fellowship and opportunities for mature adults to utilize their gifts and be an example to future generations.

Eagles’ Nest

The Eagles’ Nest drop-in is held on Wednesday mornings approximately twice each month from September through June. Participants enjoy coffee, conversation, table games, shuffleboard and table tennis. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with other mature adults at Forest Brook and to introduce new friends from the community.

Feature Presentations

Several times a year informative presentations on topics particularly relevant to seniors are scheduled as part of the Wednesday morning drop-in.

Prayer Times

These quarterly events generally take place in conjunction with a regularly scheduled Eagles’ Nest drop-in. Relationships are strengthened as we enjoy good conversation and set aside time to pray for each other, the larger FBCC church family, and the community around us.

Outings

From time to time special group outings are planned to various sites or cultural events in the Toronto and Southern Ontario area. These fun day excursions allow folks to develop friendships and reach out to others who enjoy keeping on the go.
