Membership at Forest Brook Community Church

The Scriptures teach that in Christ we have “become members of His body”, that is, the church (Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:24; Ephesians 2:9). Becoming a Christian is entering into a community of faith – not just a personal salvation from sin. Being recognized as members of a local church is taking a step of affirming our oneness with Christ and His people.

Membership enables church leaders to oversee and care for each person (Hebrews 13:17). Our growing numbers include many observers and guests. Jesus “knew His own flock by name” (John 10:14) and as leaders in our local congregation we need to identify those who are committed to Forest Brook and who desire to participate fully in the ministry of this community.

For this, and other reasons, we have a formal membership policy and process at Forest Brook. For more information about becoming a participating member, please contact our Senior Pastor, or call the church office.
