Men’s Ministries

Challenging men to grow in Christian faith and maturity

Shoulder to Shoulder Mentoring Program

Shoulder to Shoulder is a men's mentoring small group program established to help men build up one another through a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and to provide a safe, nurturing home environment to share experiences and grow in spiritual maturity.

Men's Retreat/Men's Conference

Each year the men of Forest Brook come together for two special events with a focus on discipleship and evangelism; a weekend retreat in the fall and a conference in the spring. The fall retreat is an opportunity to get away from the deadlines and bottom lines, to connect with new and old friends over meals, sporting activities, hot stove chats, and sound teaching. The day-long spring conference held at Forest Brook, is a further time of encouragement for all men who seek to serve Christ in their families, church, workplace and community.

Saturday Breakfasts

Feeding the body, mind and soul is the purpose behind the men’s Saturday morning breakfasts held several times throughout the year. The men enjoy a sumptuous breakfast and hear an inspiring testimony of how God has worked in someone’s life and/or participate in a community service project. These informal gatherings provide an opportunity for Forest Brook men to invite a friend who may be seeking encouragement in their lives.

Men’s Night Out

5 to 6 times a year, FBCC men get together in a local home for a casual evening of fun and fellowship, including pool, darts, cards, board games etc.

Indoor Sports

For men who enjoy connecting and building relationships while exercising their sporting abilities, the gym is the place to be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for recreational basketball and floor hockey. We also participate in a local winter hockey league and a summer soft ball league. During the summer, a group of men meet on Sunday afternoons to play pick up soccer against a group of Mexican farm workers.
