Prayer Ministries

Nurturing a culture of dependence on God through prayer

Congregational Prayer Meetings

Scripture tells us to give our problems and worries to God. We gather monthly on Sunday evenings to pray together and seek God’s wisdom and direction for ourselves, our church, our community and our world. See the current calendar for monthlyd ates.

Requests for Prayer

God cares about you and your problems. The opportunity to have the elders and/or members of the prayer team pray with you or for you is available following the Sunday morning service (at the front of the church). The elders are also available to come and visit with anyone who requests prayer and anointing with oil for healing (cf James 5:14-15).

Praise & Prayer
In our Sunday bulletin each week we include individual, community and ministry prqyer requests as well as praise for answered prayer.

Church-wide Prayer Requests
We have a church-wide email list through which we send urgent prayer needs and important  updates.

Pray it Forward
This is a program through which a group of people commit themselves to praying for specific needs that are forwarded to them. Anyone in our congregation can request this confidential form of prayer.

Soul Acts

At least once a year, Forest Brook suspends all regular ministries and programs for one week and provides people of all ages with an opportunity to deepen their relationship with God and refresh their souls. During Soul Acts week, Forest Brook is transformed into a place of prayer, contemplation and learning. Through creative experiences and prayer stations we listen to God through personal reflection, scripture reading, prayer, and worship.
