and with others

The Forest Brook youth ministry offers young people in grades 7 to 12 opportunities to connect with each other, to step out in mission and service and to be a part of a family of faith where they are cared for and valued. Teens are challenged to experience and develop a personal relationship with God through youth-oriented activities.
Youth Church
Every Sunday night from 7 - 8 pm, we set gather for an uplifting evening of contemporary worship in the sanctuary for both junior and senior youth. Great music, shared testimonies and inspirational teaching are all part of this hi-impact, praise-filled evening.
Small Groups
Junior and Senior small groups meet on Tuesday and Sunday nights at the church and in host homes. These groups foster a spirit of caring and sharing and offer a friendly atmosphere for teens to explore and develop their relationship with God through lively discussion and prayer.
Thursday Drop-In
The church is open and available to all youth in the surrounding community on Thursdays from 2:30 to 5:30pm. Teens can come and hang out, play games, participate in sports, do homework, grab a snack and interact with each other in a safe and friendly environment.
Mission Trip to Jamaica
Every summer we take students to Montego Bay, Jamaica to help them discover a lifestyle of ministry where they can share and serve in teh name of Christ. We work alongside of Robin's Nest orphanage in various tasks ranging from construction to changing diapers! We also partner with a community called Comfort Hall where our involvement ranges from developing relationships to construction.
Saturday Outreach Events
We want to share Jesus Christ with others so once a month special events are held for Junior High and Senior High youth to provide them with the opportunity to invite their non-church friends to experience the fun that goes on at FBCC. Favourite events include bowling, concerts, movie nights and much more.
February Retreat
Every February the FBCC youth chase away the winter blahs by escaping to Guelph Bible Conference for a weekend of exciting activities, worship and spiritual refreshment. This fully adult-supervised event begins on a Friday night and ends on a Sunday afternoon. The Junior High retreat takes place one weekend and the Senior High retreat a few weeks later.
Partnering with Parents
A recent initiative we have embarked on at Forest Brook involves both the Children and Youth ministry as we partner with parents to better care for and disciple our children. Every year we have a dynamic and informative conference that draws some of the best local speakers and professionals in the areas of children and youth culture. Our hope and plans are to inform, encourage and support parents as they care for their children and youth.
